NASA has retired Cygnus

Время на чтение 1 мин.

Or rather, the spent cargo ship was released over the Pacific Ocean so that it would burn up in the atmosphere. The Cygnus mission, which began in February 2022, ended yesterday.

The cargo ship was sent to the ISS by a one-time Antares (Northrop Grumman) rocket. He delivered 3.8 tons of cargo, including equipment, materials for scientific research. And a few days ago (June 25), I performed an adjustment of the ISS orbit. This is a significant event for NASA, since previously only Russian ships corrected the ISS orbit. Today Cygnus will burn up in the atmosphere over the ocean.
